PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

DRAWING ON THE ARTS AND CRAFTS STYLE OF THE HOUSE

THE GARDEN HAS BEEN DESIGNED AS A SERIES OF THREE
OUTDOOR ‘ROOMS’ DIVIDED BY POLISHED CONCRETE WALLS
TINTED BLUE FOR A CONTEMPORY APPEARANCE.
A NEW LOWERED CENTRAL SPACE IS EXCAVATED TO PROVIDE

AN INTIMATE OUTDOOR DINING AREA WITH A WATER
FEATURE FLOWING DOWN FROM THE FURTHER

CONTEMPLATION SPACE BEYOND.

A ROW OF PLEACHED HORNBEAMS PROVIDES PRIVACY TO
THE CENTRAL SPACE FROM THE ADJOINING PROPERTY, AND

OPPOSITE THESE AMELANCHIER TRIES PROVIDE SPRING

BLOSSOM.

A EVERGREEN KERMES OAK IS USED AS THE FOCUS OF
THE FURTHEST CONTEMPLATION SPACE TOGETHER WITH

A SMALL POOL THAT FEEDS THE WATER FEATURE IN THE
CENTRAL SUNKEN SPACE.

THE PLANTING SCHEME IS DESIGNED TO PROVIDE

COMPLEMENTARY FLOWERING COLOURS OF PURPLE / BLUE

AND ORANGE / WHITE.

THE HARD LANDSCAPING PALLETE COMPRISES RIVEN
SANDSTONE, GRAVEL, AND PADDLESTONE WALLING.
